Florence August 20th-28th 2004

The 32nd International Geological Congress took place in Florence from the 20th to the 28th of August 2004 and saw the participation of over 7,500 people.

It was a great international success and Newtours was involved in supporting the Organizing Committee from the early stages when the candidature of Florence was prepared and presented. Then, we looked after the entire management of the congress carrying out a wide range of tasks: we selected the best external collaborators both for the congress activities held in Florence and for the geological excursion in the Mediterranean basin, we managed the enrolment procedures, the secretarial and administrative duties and the coordination of various events related to the congress.
