Florence November 10th-13th 2004

The International Congress "Treatment in Psychiatry: AN UPDATE" was promoted by WPA, World Psychiatric Association, and it took place in Florence from the 10th to the 13th of November 2004. The organization of the event was accomplished entirely by Newtours.

This scientific event saw the participation of over 5,000 medical specialists, received the accreditation of the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists, as well as of the American Medical Association (AMA) and of the Italian Ministry of Health. WPA awarded 30 CME credits to each medical specialist participating in the congress, plus 3 credits for the attendance of each Advance Course. EACCME awarded 18 European CME credits (ECMEC) to each medical specialist present at the congress.

The International Congress "Treatment in Psychiatry: AN UPDATE" took place at the Florence Congress Center, with related events including a Concert in the church 'Chiesa di San Lorenzo' and a Banquet in 'Palazzo Corsini'.
